Chapel restoration and expansion project is projected to cost $11 million. Our campaign goal is to raise $12 million, which will include $1 million to fund our campaign costs, to fund expanded programs, and establish an endowment fund to provide for future facility maintenance. To date, we have gifts of $2.5 million donated and/or pledged.
Your support allows us to restore and expand the Presidio Chapel as a international center for people of all faiths to share in worship, honor the sacrifices of our veterans, preserve art and architecture, and work toward world peace.

Make a corporate match - double or triple your impact
Many private corporations, including nonprofit boards, match philanthropic donations made by employees, and in some cases, match gifts made by retirees. Nonprofit foundations may also match charitable contributions of their board members and trustees. Since corporation tends to have differing policies, it is best seek information and advice directly from them. Once you have the information, please complete the Matching Gift Form (Button to the PDF) and submit it online to bill.friedeman@interfaithpresidio.org or mail to the ICP. We will follow up and complete the acquisition of the match.
Give a gift of appreciated stock or real estate
Transferring stock shares is an excellent option. To transfer shares, please provide our Stock Transfer Form (link here) to your Broker or Financial Advisor. Always consult your tax advisor and broker regarding tax deduction and timing of your gift. Your Stock Transfer Form can be submitted online to bill.friedeman@interfaithpresidio.org or mail to the ICP. To donate real estate, please contact us directly.
Make a legacy or planned gift
Gifts that leave a lasting legacy can take many different forms and offer potential tax savings and financial planning benefits.

IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are age 70.5 or older, you are allowed to make charitable gifts, called Qualified Charitable Distributions, directly from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA's) using funds that might otherwise be taxed when withdrawn (up to a total of $100,000 per individual per year; $200,000 per couple with separate IRA's). There are several advantages to giving through your IRA. Limits on deductions for charitable gifts do not apply to direct IRA transfers. By giving directly from your IRA, you will not increase your adjusted gross income and possibly subject your Social Security or other income to higher levels of taxation. You can also offset your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), avoiding taxes on the extra income.
